the visit, in order

Five parts, 90 minutes.

1

The tour

Brittany or one of the team walks you through the practice — operatory, imaging suite, equipment. You will actually use most of it during the visit.

2

Records

Digital X-rays, intraoral photos on the screen next to you, and a CBCT scan when the case warrants. VideaAI runs a second pass on the imaging.

3

The conversation

Before we look at anything, we listen. What brought you in? What has been bothering you? What did the last dentist tell you?

4

The Four-Layer exam

Aesthetics, Function, Structure, Biology — in that order. This is where most patients say the appointment starts to feel different.

5

The plan

Dr. Sullivan sits down with you at the end. Every option, phased or all-at-once, every number, every timeline. If you need a specialist, we help you book it.

what to bring

Small list, big head start.

  • Photo ID
  • Insurance card — we submit as a courtesy; we are out-of-network with every PPO
  • List of medications
  • Any records or imaging from your previous dentist, or their contact info
Small list, big head start.
what it costs

What to expect financially.

The new-patient comprehensive exam includes records, photos, and doctor time. Fees vary depending on what is needed at the visit (CBCT, additional imaging, etc.). Membership pricing applies if you are enrolled or want to enroll. Call the office at 480-507-1993 for a fee range before booking.

one more thing

Nervous about calling?

The hardest part is picking up the phone. Just call — we take it from there.

Every question is a welcome question. We do this every day.

good questions

First-visit FAQ

Do I need to fill out forms before I come in?

Yes — we email a short packet after you book. It saves 15 minutes in the chair.

Can my spouse come with me?

Yes. Many patients find the Four-Layer exam is easier to absorb with a second set of ears.

What if I have not been to the dentist in years?

You are the exact patient this practice was built for. No judgment, no lectures. We start where you are.

Do you treat pediatric patients?

We treat adults 18 and older. If pediatric care comes up, we refer to a trusted pediatric colleague.

Can you fix problems the same day?

Sometimes yes — a chip or a small filling can often be handled at the first visit. Larger cases get a plan and a follow-up.
