A dentist who plans for decades, not visits.

Preventive dentistry means preventing something specific — not just cavities and gum disease, but the whole cascade of adult dental issues that build up quietly when nobody asks the right questions. That is what a hygiene visit at this office does.

the preventive tools

Three technologies that change what a hygiene visit can do.

DIAGNOdent

Finds cavities before they are cavities. Smaller filling later — or Curodont now.

VideaAI

AI reviews every radiograph. Catches what a human eye misses on a busy day.

Bristle testing

Saliva-based microbiome analysis. Personalizes home care and identifies systemic-health risks.

good questions

Preventive care FAQ

How often should I have my teeth cleaned?

Twice a year for most healthy adults, more often for periodontal patients or high-risk cases. Your recall interval is set at the biology layer of the exam, not by insurance.

What is included at a hygiene visit?

Exam, X-rays as indicated, professional cleaning, airway screen, DIAGNOdent, and VideaAI review. Roughly 60 minutes.

Do you numb for cleanings?

Usually no. For deep cleanings (scaling and root planing) we numb — often with the Solea laser instead of an injection when appropriate.

Do you accept my dental insurance?

We are out-of-network with every PPO and submit as a courtesy. Membership pricing is often better value than a plan you buy on your own.

What is Curodont?

A biomimetic peptide treatment that regenerates early-stage enamel without drilling. See the Curodont page for detail.

What is oral microbiome testing?

A saliva-based test that profiles the bacteria in your mouth — identifies the specific species driving cavity risk, gum disease, and even systemic-health risks. See the Bristle page for detail.
