Custom oral appliance therapy for sleep apnea and snoring, from a general dentist who has spent his career studying how the mouth, jaw, and airway work together.

Snore loudly
Feel unrested after a full night of sleep
Have trouble staying asleep
Wake up with a dry mouth
Have morning headaches or unexplained fatigue
Have been told you stop breathing in your sleep
None of these mean you have sleep apnea. They mean a screening is worth your time.

Airway is the through-line for a lot of what walks into this office — the grinding, the exhausted mornings, the snoring that has moved someone out of the bedroom. Screening for it is part of every checkup here. When something looks off, we take the next step together.
How the face and jaw have developed.
How you breathe, chew, and sleep — and how those are connected.
The teeth, bite, and existing dental work under load all night.
The tissue, muscle, and airway itself.
For the right patients, a custom-fit oral appliance — often described as a sleep apnea mouth guard — gently repositions the jaw to keep the airway open during sleep. It's one of the best CPAP alternatives when the fit is right.
If a formal sleep study is needed, Dr. Sullivan may refer you to an ENT for evaluation at a specialized sleep lab before we build your appliance.
Every evaluation runs through all four. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.

About 60 minutes with Dr. Sullivan. We map your symptoms and look at the bite, jaw, and airway together.
If a sleep physician needs to formally diagnose sleep apnea, we help you get to an ENT and a sleep lab — we don't leave you with a printout and a good-luck.
For many patients an FDA-cleared oral appliance is enough. For complex cases we work alongside your sleep physician.
Artistry in Dentistry is fee-for-service and out-of-network with every PPO. We submit to insurance as a courtesy but do not participate in any plan — that is how we protect the standard of care we are willing to sign our name to. Most patients use one or more of: our in-house Clerri Membership, third-party financing through CareCredit, Proceed, or iCreditWorks, or a phased treatment plan spread over time.
The hardest part is picking up the phone. Just call — we take it from there.

Every question is a welcome question. We do this every day.
No. Many patients come in for a screening first. If we see something that requires a formal sleep study, we help you get to the right specialist.
We are out-of-network with every PPO and submit as a courtesy. Some medical plans do cover oral appliance therapy; we help you understand what applies.
For some patients, yes. A custom oral appliance can be effective on its own for the right cases. For severe cases, we coordinate with your sleep physician.
About 60 minutes for the first consult.
We treat adults 18 and older. If pediatric airway concerns come up in your evaluation, we refer to a trusted pediatric colleague.
Airway and TMJ often travel together. We can evaluate both concerns in the same consult.
